Long vernier caliper are a type of vernier calipers that are solid and more stable in design and manufacturing. They are mainly used in fields such as heavy-duty machining and the manufacturing of large metal structures, and can withstand relatively large external forces and harsh working environments.
The long vernier calipers are relatively heavy as a whole, (we also have simple type) which makes them more stable during the operation process. For example, some heavy-duty vernier calipers with a measuring range of 600 mm can weigh several kilograms. The jaws of the calipers usually undergo special quenching and heat-treatments to improve their hardness and wear resistance.
The frame structure of long vernier caliper is thicker to ensure that it will not be easily deformed during use. The measuring range usually starts from 300 mm, and common specifications include 500 mm, 600 mm, 1000 mm and so on......The maximum size which we can supply is 4000MM. The caliper can meet the measurement needs for large components. For example, in shipyards, when measuring the diameter of large ship propellers and the dimensions of large hull components, large-range heavy-duty vernier calipers are required.
